1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Click Frenzy Plus ("the App"), operated by Click Frenzy Pty Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and handles information when you install and use the App in connection with your Shopify store.
2. Data Collection (What We Collect)
To provide analytics and reporting services, the App collects the following specific data points from your Shopify store:
Store Information: Shop domain name.
Order Metadata: Order ID, Order Number, Total Price, and Currency.
Promotion Data: Discount codes applied to orders (code, amount, and type).
Line Item Data: Product ID, Product Title, Quantity, and Price for each item in an order.
Important Note on Personal Information: We do not collect "Protected Customer Data" as defined by Shopify, such as customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical shipping addresses. Our database is designed to analyse the redemption of the coupons supplied to Click Frenzy Plus without storing identifiable individual contact details.
Click Frenzy Plus will only store information if the coupon code used matches one supplied to Click Frenzy Plus. If the coupon used is not a Click Frenzy Plus code, no data will be stored for that transaction.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data solely for the following purposes:
To generate performance reports and data visualisations within the Click Frenzy Plus reporting.
To provide the merchant with insights into Click Frenzy Plus performance and discount code efficacy.
To troubleshoot and improve the App's functionality.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your store's data to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using AWS DynamoDB located in the Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2) region. We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
Encryption at Rest: All data in DynamoDB is encrypted.
Encryption in Transit: Data transferred between Shopify and our servers is encrypted via SSL/TLS.
Access Control: Access to our database is strictly limited to authorised personnel required for maintenance and support.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention: We retain the collected order data for as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store to maintain your historical analytics.
Uninstallation: In accordance with Shopify’s platform requirements, within 48 hours of you uninstalling the App, we will receive a shop/redact webhook and subsequently delete all data associated with your store from our database.
Data Minimisation: We only request and store the minimum data necessary to provide our analytics service.
6. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act and Shopify’s ecosystem rules, you have the right to access the data we hold or request its deletion. Since we do not store customer contact details, requests for "Customer Data Redaction" are typically handled by purging any order metadata associated with specific IDs provided by Shopify via mandatory webhooks.
